Time Warp and Weft: Threads 2009-2010 Fashion show

For the second year in a row, I was elected the Vice President of Design of Threads, the Consumer, Apparel and Retail Studies Departments student organization. Every year my job is to assist and put together our annual fashion show. This year's theme was past, present and future. Below is my past design. It is my interpretaiton of a 1950's house dress. It was for sale, but I wear it too much! All of the seams are either french seams or enclosed, so there are no raw edges visible inside or out, the skirt is made from 3 different fabrics, and paneled. It has an interior hook and eye closure at the waist inside, and a 3 button closure on the exterior. My beautiful model is Ashley Corsi, who modeled all three of my designs this year.
For pictures of the entire show, which took place on 2 nights can be found here at the photographer's (Adam Wamsley) flickr
